Enabling SMS

Enabling SMS

Before you start

Before turning on the phone, be sure to delete any already-generated SMS messages from the system so they are not sent “into the past”: ADMIN → SMS ADMINISTRATION → click + (all SMS get selected) → Delete.

1. The “DARWA SMS” phone app

Settings may differ on each phone. The key point is that the phone must not save battery or put the app to sleep when the device is not used for a longer time.

  1. Download the “DARWA SMS” app: DARWA_SMS.apk and install it.
  2. After installing, tap ALLOW (3 times) and open the app.
  3. Open “DARWA SMS” and enter the company password and phone number. You will find them in the DARWA program on your computer: admin → system settings — the administration mobile-phone password and the company mobile-phone number. Enter them exactly as shown in the program and confirm YES.
  4. Close the app and open it again with a long press; in the top-right corner tap the small icon that looks like the letter “i”.
  5. Set the battery: Battery → Unrestricted.
  6. Test the connection: Test connections → OK.

2. Enabling SMS sending in the DARWA CRM program (app.darwa.lt/GDW)

  1. Go to admin → system settings → SMS. If SMS sending is off (number 4), change this setting to 3 and click “Save”.
  2. Create 3 SMS texts:
    • Column 4 — APPOINTMENT_CREATED (appointment created). On the side you will see a template, e.g.: “Sveiki. Jūsų lauksime pas gyd. {_doctor_} {_date1_} d. {_time1_} val. Klinika Dantukas, adresu Gatvės 4-3, Vilnius.” Copy it into the empty box next to it and adjust it (clinic name, address).
    • Column 5 — APP_CANCEL (appointment cancellation).
    • Column 10 — APP_NOTIFY_2 (reminder 24 h before). Set APP_NOTIFY_2_ENABLED → YES.
  3. Check that SMS sending works: admin → SMS administration → “ad hoc” SMS message → ID phone (enter your phone number) → status: prepared → enter the SMS text and click “Save”. If everything is entered correctly, you will receive an SMS within a few minutes.
